New Year's Eve 2005

We went to a New Year's Eve party today at the Children's Museum in Easton. The kids had a blast! There was a magic show, popcorn, crafts, cookie decorating, pizza and drinks. What else could a kid need? At 1:30 (PM, not AM), we did a countdown and everyone popped their confetti poppers. There was confetti everywhere! Fun was had by all. Kevin and Ryan took a nap afterwards and Dad and Eddie went to the grocery store to prepare for our family New Year's Eve party tonight. Should we introduce the kids to pickled herring (a family tradition for Dawn) or wait til next year? For our family party, we are planning on having pizza and popcorn! Funny thing is we already planned on the "menu" before we went to the museum and even though Eddie was offered his choice of other foods, he wants to stick with the pizza and popcorn! We are going to watch "The Polar Express" and stay up late (in kid terms anyway). Will we make it to see the ball drop? Not so sure about that! We have party hats, confetti and blowers so it's sure to be a good time! Here are some pictures from the museum:

Aye, aye, Captain Ryan!

Peter the Magician!

Kevin is a dancing machine! Where's Dick Clark when you need him?

There was a very special visitor at the museum: Dapper Gent. He asked the kids what their special wish was for the New Year and gave everyone a candy coin. Eddie asked for a sister.
